The big news is that Social Weaver partner Verashni Pillay has been appointed Editor in Chief of Mail & Guardian.
After an exciting national Twitter training tour of Independent Newspapers newsrooms, Michael Salzwedel and Steve Kromberg spent last week training and setting up social media platforms at the SABC News Parliament.
Over the next six months we’ll be doing the same in most SABC newsrooms around South Africa. A flying start for our fledgling company!
We’re also planning to roll out special short courses for NPOs and members of the public, on how to make the most of social media.
And on 23-27 November, we’ll be running our flagship five-day Essentials of Digital Media Management course for media leaders at the Sol Plaatje Institute at Rhodes Jms.
